I want to export the whole IIS configuration to a new server (2008r2 to 2008r2 using msdeploy v3) but I want to change some parameters.
I am working through the parameters for changing things in the apphost (more difficult than it sounds given the lack of documentation)
I am using the GUI/wizard and selecting "Export Server Package" from the server level, as this is what I want.
But it seems that there is no parameter.xml or systeminfo.xml generated in the zip?
Given this, how when it does an import does it read the parameters? Where is it getting this information?
I look in the zip but there is nothing there but the archive.xml and the folder structure......
Note: further down the tree packaging up apps, etc the systeminfo and parameters XMLs are there. This seems to be only at server level.
