I'm new to ARR2.5 so please forgive me if this is simple and easy to fix. My google-foo searches haven't found a matching guide to my implementation. All web services work perfectly on my LAN. I am struggling to get this working from the WAN.
I have a single WAN IP address that I wish to share between the default web services delivered on Windows 2012e and three other web servers on my LAN. I understand that this arrangement is supported in principle via http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj200172.aspx.
- https://www.domain.co.uk will point to 2012e/remote
- https://mail.domain.co.uk will point to Exchange 2013/owa
- https://rdweb.domain.co.uk will point to on premisis Published RemoteWeb Apps/reweb
- http://cam.domain.co.uk will point to an IP security camera
I practised on the camera on the basis it was simple and didn't require a cert to find the instructions (omitting the -cert string) did not redirect cam.domain.co.uk to the IP address of the camera.
This moved me to try the ARR2.5 GUI which also failed to redirect cam.domain.co.uk to the web camera.
I found success using the GUI to get mail.domain.co.uk working but this then broke www.domain.co.uk. www.domain.co.uk lost it's page formatting. It was functional but unusable. I removed the server farm for mail which immediately fixed www.
Another test I had problems with using the GUI was.. When adding a second server farm for cam.domain.co.uk, I receive a warning message "There are URL rewrite rules on other server farms that can conflict with the rule you are about to create for this server farm. Do you want to create this rule?" This seems to be the clue to the fix for my setup but I am lost at this stage.
I haven't tried rdweb due to the problems above. Any help (idiot guides) appreciated.
