AD Authentication and ARR

ARR Server - Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5 and ARR 2.5
Application Servers - Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7.5, running a .NET application that uses AD for authentication.

We are using the ARR server purely for load balancing. No content management or anything like that.

When a user accesses the individual web/app servers they are sent directly into the application as expected. If they access the virtual IP of the ARR server they are prompted to login. Once they login, the application works as expected until they logout or the session times out.

Anonymous is the only authentication method installed on the ARR server, and it is enabled.

I've read about the Double Hop, but I'm not sure how to resolve that problem. It appears to involve setting or re-setting SPN information. But I'm a complete noob on SPN.

Thanks.
