Since I used the Ms web deploy app installer, I keep getting this error on the server.
It hangs on the start for several minutes - the login window shows up with the error that at least one driver hang/failed to start. IF you login before the error shows up you'll sit waiting for 3-4 mimnutes while the server is working , no network is turned on before this error shows up and you can "feel" that the machine is working hard until the error popup screen shows up. after that every thing returns to normal operation and the everything works fine. When digging down in the event viewer you find this:
Event Type: Error Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Category: None Event ID: 7022 Date: 05-11-2012 Time: 02:12:35 User: N/A Computer: xxxxx Description: The Web Deployment Agent Service service hung on starting. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.Looking into the services there is nothing to see as the machine working normally and the web deployment service is running too. The only error in the log is the one shown above - so it must be the Web Deployment Agent Service that causes the weird behavoir. The Machine is a 2003 server (virtualized) - running on a 2003 ENT host. Any ideas on how to fix this/workaround? Maybe you have experienced this issue you self? Anyhow - I would be grateful for some ideas on how to fix it! Thanks a lot .. Kind regards Daniel
