trust relationship for server-to-server authentication for OWA customization

Hello,
I have a set of Exchange server with OWA access enabled.
I want to customize the OWA interface to add new features

The architecture is as follows:
- Multiple servers OWA + IIS + Exchange 2010 sp2 in an AD domain
- dedicated IIS servers for our solution (a web application, retrieving the identifiers provided by OWA's URL and seeking EWS to recover data)
The problem is that the environment is complex, all computers are not member of the domain and thus uses the OWA authentication form. In addition, some people in the domain can identify as another person in the identification OWA form.

So I cannot use Windows authentication and must recover the user identifier in OWA.

Microsoft proposes a solution :
Deploy the Application on a different server and create a trust relationship for server-to-server authentication.
Obtain the credentials from the IIS user context.

How can I use this solution?

For information, I can not set up impersonation in exchange for security reasons.

Regards
