I currently use FTP over SSL in IIS 7 (Windows Server 2008 R2) and have no issues with it, however during one of our security audits we were flagged as allowing clear text over FTP. The only thing that is identified during the FTP connection is the welcome banner and no one can log into the FTP server without the appropriate SSL policy set for authentication. So IIS is doing what it should do.
What I would like to do, is have the ability to completely remove/restrict the welcome banner portion if they are attempting to connect over normal FTP, is this possible? I haven't seen anything saying you can do this.
