IP Address SAN for certificate with MS Active Directory Certificate Services

I am generating a certificate to use my IIS Web Application with HTTPS. I want to access the application with its IP Address.

I'm following the steps described here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931351 using the Web Enrollment interface. At step 11 " In theAttributes box, type the desired SAN attributes. SAN attributes take the following form:" I'm adding the "san:ipaddress=192.168.38.50&dns=localhost". Is that supported?

With that done, I still get the certificate problem page when I visit the IP. localhost works fine though. Note that I can clearly see my IP listed in the Subjet Alternative Name of the certificate's properties.

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks for you help

Also if there is a better MSDN forum for this question please let me know... this is the best I could find.
