Followed the "Movies" site example to the letter...problems

When I hit the "Run" button, it opens a blank screen, and the "default.html" extension in the address bar is missing, regardless of browser.

All that shows up in the browser address bar, is this 

http://localhost:24476/

If I type in default.html onto the end, it displays, but it doesn't do it as described in the how-to guide here:
