Mapping webdav folder in Windows 7

OK IIS.net community some serious help needed here. My setup is Windows 2008 R2 with IIS installed. I've configured webdav authoring for all users with read, write and execute permissions.

I've enable Basic Authentication using the network's NetBIOS name of my network in Domain and Realm. My authentication is set per folder rather than at Default Site level

I have created a Self Cert for the domain name that I use to access the webdav site.

The authorization rules match my network NTFS permissions.

I can successfully access the site over the internet and gain access to the folder. When I map the folder in XP I have no issue. However when it comes to Windows 7 I can't get it map. It recognises the folder and  prompts for a username and password but it just refuses to authenticate a user. I do know that Windows 7 doesnt like Basic Authentication without SSL, which I have in place, but I have tried Windows and Digest authentication with the same issue.

Please help someone...please!
