I am running Windows 8 Pro and Web PI 4.5. I want to install all the products necessary to enable the "Deploy" menu item in IIS so I can Import and Export packages from IIS. I already have installed "Web Deploy 3.0" and "Web Deploy 3.0 without bundled SQL Support (latest)". I have tried to install "Web Deploy 3.0 for Hosting Servers", and while it seems to complete successfully, it still keeps showing up in WebPI 4.5 with an "Add" button instead of showing "Installed". I installed IIS through the "Add and Remove Windows Features" in the Control Panel.
With Web Deploy 3.0 installed, I can run web deployment packages from the command line. But I want to enable the access through the IIS Management Console, and it is not showing up. Without the "Recommended Configuration for Hosting Providers" entry in WebPI 4.5, I don't know what other pieces I need to install to get this to show up.
What should I do? Why is this entry not showing up in WebPI 4.5?
