Get FTP State using VBScript & WMI

Hi

I have been trying to write a VBScript that will use the WebAdministration WMI namespace to query the state of any FTP sites that have been set up on the server.

I have successfully achieved this already for websites(HTTP) and Application Pools using "GetState" however this doesn't seem to work for FTP sites and gives me the following error: "The object indentifier does not represent a valid object". I get the same thing if I try to execute the method using WMI CIM Studio so I'm fairly confident the problem is one with WMI rather than my script.

I have been searching for answers to whether it is even possible to get the current state of an FTP site using VBScript/WMI but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. I have seen it mentioned that it may be possible using Site.FtpServer.State but this property doesn't seem to exist.

So can anyone tell me firstly is it even possible to get the current state of an FTP site by using a VBScript that is querying WebAdministration and if so how I would go about doing it?

Thanks
