Hi,

I have had to build a new 2008R2 server for a friend as their server got hacked and as such I only have the raw website data taken from d:\WebSites

I have tried the appcmd to export as per below but the XML's are empty as I only have a very restricted emergency access to the server.

%windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd list apppool /config /xml > c:\apppools.xml %windir%\system32\inetsrv\appcmd list site /config /xml > c:\sites.xml

When I try and add the websites to the IIS Manager I get a failure on the Passthrough Authentication element but when I add this as a dedicated user (administrator) this works for the test but then I still get the error:

HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

If I try this in the wwwroot dir on C: this works fine so I have been looking at permissions on the D: but just cant get it working. This is a non domain server that is in its own workgroup.

Help is welcomed

Thanks in advance

Paul
