As above website runs on VS2008, when compiled on IIS shared hosting provider but not local PC's IIS.
It was fine until PC unexpectidly shut down then the local IIS copy of the website decided not to work.
I get this message...
The file '/default.aspx' has not been pre-compiled, and cannot be requested
[HttpException (0x80004005): The file '/default.aspx' has not been pre-compiled, and cannot be requested.] System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultInternal(VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) +826 System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVPathBuildResultWithNoAssert(HttpContext context, VirtualPath virtualPath, Boolean noBuild, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean allowBuildInPrecompile) +116 System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetVirtualPathObjectFactory(VirtualPath virtualPath, HttpContext context, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean noAssert) +175 System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.CreateInstanceFromVirtualPath(VirtualPath virtualPath, Type requiredBaseType, HttpContext context, Boolean allowCrossApp, Boolean noAssert) +52 System.Web.UI.PageHandlerFactory.GetHandlerHelper(HttpContext context, String requestType, VirtualPath virtualPath, String physicalPath) +50 System.Web.MaterializeHandlerExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute() +425 System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously) +263 |
Is there some setting on IIS I need to check?
Thanks, Will
