Our server admins used VM to clone several servers and did not do a sysprep. Microsoft determined the sids were the same, we attempted to change them, but it did not work.
We used a website to generate a machinekey for the primary server and then used this same machine across all servers, but we still receive the
"validation of viewstate mac failed. If this application is hosted by a Web Farm or cluster, ensure that configuration specifies the same validationkey and validation algorithm."
which leads me to believe that the machine keys did not take effect on each machine or having the same SID across all servers is interferring.
Does anyone have any suggestions for us? our believe is having the same sids on all servers is the issue.
