Hi Everyone,
I have a problem with potential IIS and 2008 R2 config and I need your advice.
Basically, I have tried to move a hosted blog from my NAS, to my new 2008 R2 server but I am having issues and I am wondering if I need to set up other roles or features on 2008 R2 to allow access to IIS correctly.
Does anyone know, that apart from IIS, whether there are other 'entities' that need switching on with 2008 R2 to allow IIS to function correctly?
The issue at the moment, is that when I port-forward to my 2008 box receive a 404 for the website.
It picks up from localhost without issue.
I am fairly certain that port-forwarding works ok, as when I revert to my NAS (which needs a port-forward) the website picks up immediately.
What I need to rule in or out, and this is where I need your help -
How can I actually see if traffic from my router, destined for port 80 on my 2008 R2 box is hitting my 2008 box?
Is there a detailed IIS install guide for 2008 R2 which explains everything I need to have set up on 2008 R2 and not just the IIS component?
For the record, this is a WordPress blog which I am trying to move over. Maybe somebody has also had similar issues?
Help apreciated.
