We’re testing a new version of some caching devices with some great new features. Unfortunately, this new version also has some bugs. In order to minimize the impact of those bugs, our network team would like us to throttle our web servers to send 4Gbps max. Bit rate throttling appears to be on a per-user basis, so I was looking at using the MaxBandwidth setting. However, I’m unclear on if MaxBandwidth is a total of both incoming and outgoing traffic. Does anyone know the answer on this?
Any strong feelings on MaxBandwidth vs Bit Rate throttling? Any advice or feedback would be appreciated, thanks all!
