Hello,
I have used Motorola Homesight (TM), a security system application, running on xp Pro SP3 for several years. It sends an email alert with attached video by my ISP (Comcast) using port 25 to a user specified email address. In March, the ISP blocked port 25 so no emails are delivered. My question: can IIS 5.1 as part of xp Pro be configured to be used as a buffer or interface to change from port 25 to either port 465 (or port 587) for my ISP?
Homesight is no longer supported and has no option to change smtp ports. No searches on the Internet have turned up a solution.
Using Outlook Express, I have verified that port 25 is blocked at the ISP. Changing the smtp port to 465 or 587 allows email to be delivered correctly.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
