Hi,
So I have a small FTP site running on a Windows 2008 R2 domain controller. The FTP site exists so that Wyse thin clients in my branch offices can pick up their configuration file from a centrally managed source location. The thin clients connect with anonymous login. The FTP service is run with the "Local System" account. This arrangement has worked fine for 2 years.
I had a sys admin leave the company recently, so this required that the domain admin password be changed.
So I logged the domain admin account off all servers, changed the password on the DC, logged off and back on, then rebooted the DC.
Everything was working fine but then I started getting calls that the thin clients were not able to log in anonymously to get their config files.
I looked all through the FTP configuration for any references to the domain admin account and could not find any. So I changed the domain admin account back to the original password, did all the same login and log out activites and restarted the FTP service, and the thin client anonymous login started working again.
So clearly the domain admin account and its password are involved. Can someone please suggest "where" I need to change "what" to make this work correctly?
Thanks
