I'm trying to set test WebFarm using WFF. I have 2 servers, IIS1 and IIS2, both w2k8r2, both with the same updates and identical configuration of IIS (i use custom script to configure IIS)
Steps to reproduce:
Install webplatforminstaller_3_10_amd64_en-US.msi and WebFarm2_x64.msi on IIS1
Create Farm, add IIS1 as primary, IIS2 as secondary, both ready for LB
Synchronisation occures, WFF installs WebFarmAgent.msi on IIS2, downloads missing assemblies etc. reaches IIS2 'Server successfully started'.
Just after this message appears 'Diffing local application WebServer () with primary server iis1'
and then comes error:
Failed to run operation 'RunRemote'. Failed to run method 'Microsoft.Web.Farm.SyncApplicationsRemoteMethod' on server 'iis2'. Exception in response stream. The ApplicationHost.config file is invalid. Cannot proceed with synchronization. Exception in response stream. The ApplicationHost.config file is invalid. Cannot proceed with synchronization.
and IIS2 is marked as unhealthy
I checked the difference in applicationhost.config before and after adding to webfarm
the only one difference was added section with URLRewrite rule (removing it didn't help)
Now, trying to start IIS console throws error:

However this file is identical with redirection.config from IIS1 where everything works fine
Now, when I try to start MMC (ServerManager or anything else) I get this error :
MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly

I don't know what can cause such problems, any help appreciated.
