The directory specified for caching compressed content is invalid. Static compression is being disabled.

Hello All,

We get following warning in the event log:

The directory specified for caching compressed content C:\inetpub\temp\IIS Temporary Compressed Files\SharePoint-3000 is invalid.  Static compression is being disabled.

We have iis 7.5 on Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system.

I checked the path "C:\inetpub\temp\IIS Temporary Compressed Files\SharePoint-3000" already exists on the server

I checked the IIS_IUSRS has full control permission on folder "C:\inetpub\temp\IIS Temporary Compressed Files"

I even checked that Application Pool i.e. SharePoint-3000 also has full control permission on folder "C:\inetpub\temp\IIS Temporary Compressed Files\SharePoint-3000"

Does any one has any idea on real cause of why static compression in not working and how to solve this issue.
