<div class="body">
Hi, we have a .Net based smart client application, which is been installed on Windows 2008 R2 server and IIS 7.5.
Currently deployed on a http mode. We wanted to look into options and possibility of deploying this application on a https mode.
We tried the following. Made necessary configurations to set the deployed web application as https. And when we browsed from a client machine to the url, it did browse the default page, and when clicked on the link to invoke the application .exe. It throws error as "Microsoft IE Execute shell has stopped working".
Please suggest if its feasible to have smart client application on a https.
