Hello to the community.
I'm here to ask some help about a problem that I have trying to do an installation on a new Vista Business PC.
My problem is that for some reasonthe installer ofthe program (Adobe Coldfusion MX7) is not installing the ISAPI script mapping in IIS7.
So - following the strategy that is reported to be successful for some other colleagues - after a successful functional installation Iwas trying to add the mappings by myself following the instructions posted in other forums by these guys.
The problem that I'm experiencing says me that there is a problem into IIS7.
This is what happens. When I open the mapping section of the admin, at the moment to add the script mappings I get this message box (excuse my bad translation, I have an Italian Vista version)
Activte the ISAPI extension ? In this case the extension will be added as allowed item into the ISAP and CGI restriction. If the extensions are already in the list they will be allowed.
At this point I click on YES. So then I get a second message box with an error that tells (again please pardon me for the translation from Italian to English):
One or more modules for the manager (or should be better to say "provider"?) are not present in the modules list. If you are trying to add a script mapping, the module ISAPIMODULE or CGIMODULE is not present in the modules list.
What does it mean ? When I tried to edit applicationhost.config the section <isapirestriction /> was empty. Does this matters something ?Also in this file I cannot find any ISAPI section.
I suspect that ISAPI is not installed. Is this true ? Which is a possible way to verify it ?
Thanks to everybody will help me.
Cheers.
