setting up website/security

Hello,

I am wondering if there is a step by step guide on setting up my own website along with the procedure for securing it properly. I have done quite a bit of searching on the net for this but I probably dont know the right keywords. I have found "checklists" but I will need more then that if I am ever going to figure it out. I am running windows 7. It is to make a personal owncloud (http://owncloud.org). All help is much appreciated!
