Localhost

I have a small site I manage through a hosting service.  I keep a copy of the site on my PC for development and testing.  I recently replaced a defective hard drive and I am having trouble reconfiguring IIS to recongize my site.  I would like to be able to browse to the site by typing http://localhost.  When I do, I get the Default Web Site that IIS creates on installation.  I have added my site under web sites in the IIS UI but can't figure out how to open it in a local browser.  Can I change the default site that localhost looks to?  In adding the new site I used Site Name: acme web and host name: acme.  Any help would be welcome.
