Thanks all for not responding to my post called "update hell"
Today I bring you episode two ( I am being generous).
Recently I had to redo my whole site on the new starter site template 2.0, because my original site ( a few months old) was apparently based on WebMatrix 1.0
Today I get a little window titled Upgrade ASP.net Web pages, mind you this is a new site based on starter site template, with everything updated, including Nuget.
Upgrade to newer version:
"Updates your site to run ASP.net Web Page 2.0.20710.0. You may need to update your code if there are breaking changes"
Keep my current version.
And a more info link.
The more info link brings me to this page
The Top Features in ASP.net web pages 2 DATED February 13, 2012 WTF that is ancient history!
As a developer I was hoping to get to a page that explains what those potentially breaking changes might be.
Does anyone know?
I copy my site so I can find out what happens when I select "update my site"
"An error occurred tryying to read your site's ASP.net web pages configuration."
Already referencing a newer version of NuGet.core
more info link goes where? Guess?
Conclusion: a three week old site is already effed up!
