Hi,

I have been getting the following error message when I Browse the Website through the IIS interface:

"Handler "ExtensionlessUrlHandler-Integrated-4.0" has a bad module "ManagedPipelineHandler" in its module list"

Code: 0x8007000d

When I try to open the Home Page through Visual Studio Epress 2012 I get the following error message:

"Server Error in '/' Application.

The resource cannot be found.

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /Views/Home/Index.cshtml

Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:4.0.30319; ASP.NET Version:4.0.30319.17929"

I have been trying to resolve for 4 days now, I have searched the web for a solution and have tried everything I can think of.

  • I am running Windows 7, IIS 7.5
  • I have linked the site to the default application pool
  • I have changed the default application pool to v4.0 Framework
  • I have also tried using a dedicated application pool
  • I have run %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe
  • I have run %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -i
  • I have added IIS_IUSRS to the User Groups under Security with Read & Execute, List Folder Contents and Read permisions
  • When I "Test the Settings" under Edit Site>Basic Settings I get:

The server is configured to use pass-through authentication with a built-in account to access the specified physical path. However, IIS Manager cannot verify whether the built-in account has access. Make sure that the application pool identity has Read access to the physical path. If this server is joined to a domain, and the application pool identity is NetworkService or LocalSystem, verify that <domain>\<computer_name>$ has Read access to the physical path. Then test these settings again.

I am relatively new at this so I may have missed something obvious, I would be very grateful if someone more knowledgable could point me in the right direction.
