<div id=post_message_534750 itxtvisited="1">I have set up IIS on my PC in Windows 7 which creates a folder C:\inetpub\wwwroot. I want to save a file Helloworld.html to get started on my new web server. However, when saving I get :
"You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the administrator to obtain permission"
However,in Control Panel, User Account, is shows Andy(who I logged in as with my password) and underneath Andy it says Administrator.
I've tried the properties of the wwwroot folder and tried unchecking the Read-only box. It then says :
"You will need to provide administrator permission to change these attributes"
I thought I was Administrator. I had exactly the same problem on my old PC with Vista which suggests to me it's a common issue when setting up IIS. Can anyone help?
