Is the Application Initialization Module runs on Windows Azure Web Role

I tried to use it on Azure but did not managed to make it work. It runs perfectly on Windows 7.

Is the Application Initialization Module runs on Windows Azure Web Role (with osFamily = 2 for Windows Server 2008 R2) ?
