I posted about this 4 years ago and it still has never been fixed, so I'll try again.

It is about hyperlinks in anything other than IE it doesn't automatically convert them.
Now I know posters *can* select the text and click in the chain link icon and fill out the box there but that make me and other users jump through too many hoops. Really it is 2012 not 2002 (I think 99% of forum/message board software did automatic converting to hyperlink a decade ago)
I think it looks really unprofessional for a forum like this.
It is not difficult to code this and I am no coder.
And with about 70% market share for Chrome and Firefox together nowadays it seem follyish to exclude these.
Can we add this to the bug list of improvements?
